Education

The mission of the Department of Primary and Secondary Education is to equip children of the State with specified knowledge, skills and values to enable them to become good human beings and productive, socially responsible citizens and to achieve excellence in whatever they do.

Community and Corporate Social Responsibility (CCSR )

  1. Purpose: The Government of Karnataka created the CCSR framework to transform government schools across the state into high-quality Karnataka Public Schools (KPS) (covering LKG to Class 12).
  2. Execution Model: Under the strict CCSR guidelines, corporate partners and private donors do not give money directly to the government. Instead, they must fund and construct infrastructure projects (such as classrooms, science labs, libraries, and smart interactive rooms) using their own designated implementing agencies. [1]
  3. Governance: The policy is governed by a State CCSR Monitoring Committee chaired by the Chief Minister, with dedicated CCSR cells functioning at the departmental and district levels to oversee development
